Sweetest Thing是寫給他老婆Ali Hewson的情歌，目的是為了要道歉，因為他忘了她的生日。MV中出現的「I'm sorry.」、「I'm really sorry.」、「I'm really really sorry.」就是為了要向她道歉，Ali Hewson本人也在MV中出現。Sweetest Thing的版稅則捐給Ali鐘愛的慈善機構Chernobyl Children's Project International。
